The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was an eye opener for everyone. There were 27 innoscent killed for reasons we may never know. Virginia Tech 2007, 32 were killed not by a stranger but a student and peer. Since the year 2000, there have been 64 school shootings with 147 killed. (List, 2013). This information is for the United States. The question is "Should teachers be liscenced to carry hand guns on school grounds?" Australia and Great Britain have agreed to the "National Firearms Agreement (NFA), which banned semi-automatic and pump action rifles and shotguns and required registration of all firearms, strict standards for gun licenses, and a permit for each gun purchase subject to a 28-day waiting period." (CDF.2013) Since this was put into affect Austroa in 16 years has had no mass shooting. (CDF, 2013). Since the Sandy Hook shooting my agency as decidied to keep all doors locked at all times.
